OPEN POSITION: Brand Ambassador -Full Time ($35-45K)

Position details: Harvest Maine is seeking a full-time employee to assist the two founders in growing the brand in the New England region. Primary focus will be strengthening relationships with existing accounts through product demos, merchandising and general support. Secondary focus will be assisting with production, processing, and farm relations.

Company Background: Harvest Maine is a startup manufacturer on a relentless pursuit to reduce food waste. We buy tons of imperfect produce and fruit from Maine farmers, as well as by-product from local processors, then turn them into delicious snacks like veggie hummus and fruit bites.

Qualifications:

·       Candidate should be outgoing with a confidence to form relationships with retail accounts

·       Candidate should have reliable transportation and a willingness to travel within New England region.

·       Candidate will have a flexible schedule, and should be willing to work occasional weekend days

·       Sales experience is preferred, but not required as we are willing to train. A strong personal commitment to local food, and waste reduction is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities

Relationship Building: (50%): Once an account is opened, emphasis will be supporting the brand through product demos, merchandising, handling returns, encouraging reorders, and setting up promotions.

Account Development (10%): With founders’ direction, seek out new accounts within the New England region and place product. Prospecting requires initiative, determination, and the ability to handle occasional rejection.

Utility (40%). As in any start up, employees sometimes wear hats that might be different than their primary role. Candidate will be asked to help founders in production, processing, delivery, and other non-sales tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

·       This will be a full time salaried position with a range of 35k to 45k depending on experience.
